#BeBoldforChange this International Women’s Day!

Kim Vella Coaching and 6th Position invite YOU to #BeBoldforChange this International Women’s Day (#IWD2017) by dancing with us to celebrate the unleashed potential of the women in our lives AND help eliminate domestic violence from our community.

We’ll be celebrating #IWD2017 for a whole WEEK, from 6-12 MARCH 2017! On Monday, we start celebrating with the launch of a new 6th Position lunchtime class: Strength and Flexibility (Conditioning), led by Emma Roberts. Through Strength and Flexibility, we want to build and empower strong women (and men!), and help you discover your inner strength. Join us for some pre-class networking from 11.45AM, with the inaugural Strength and Flexibility class kicking off at 12.15PM! I’ll be there with 6th Position Founder, Genevieve Chan, showing that everyBODY can dance.

On Tuesday, we’ll launch a Facebook giveaway in search of a bold Canberran woman. We will be asking you to nominate a woman you know and tell us how she has been bold for change. No change is too small or not bold enough! Every effort counts in forging a more gender equal and inclusive world, and we want to hear about it! No stranger to bold women, I’ll select the giveaway winner from the nominees. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 8 March, International Women’s Day. At stake is a 5 CLASS PASS, because every bold woman needs to take time out for themselves.

On Thursday, we’ll be continuing the fun in the 6th Position studio with a lucky door prize. The eighth person through the door after 7:15pm will receive TWO free tickets to the next Network of Possibility cocktail reception in May! I’m also donating 3 x 3-month passes to Kim Vella Coaching’s Positive Plenary, a group coaching program for bold women, to be raffled at the UN Women National Committee Australia’s #IWD2017 lunch in Canberra on Thursday 9 March.

On Friday, 6th Position will support the Department of Employment’s #IWD2017 event, a Happy Hour hosted by the Gender Equality Network in Employment (geniE). 6th Position has donated a Trial Pass and a 5 Class Pass to be raffled, with all proceeds raised by geniE going to Beryl Women Inc.

To celebrate #IWD2017 and their 6th week in business, 6th Position will donate 30% of its net profits from 6-12 March to the Network of Possibility charity of choice, the Tara Costigan Foundation. Simply purchase a Studio Pass through their online timetable or the MindBody app, sign up for class and get dancing!

It’s a #boldstep for any small business to be promising a donation of this size at such an early stage in the game, but it’s a sign of 6th Position’s belief in CANBERRAN women and OUR unlimited potential to #BeBoldforChange! The more we dance during the week of 6-12 March, the bolder 6th Position’s contribution will be towards eliminating domestic violence in our community.

Will you dance with us and #BeBoldforChange?
